Hi, my name is Gurveen Jaggi, and I am a Registered Dietitian / Registered Nutritionist based in Edmonton with a passion for nutrition relating to mental health.
I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science, Dietetics Specialization and have completed over 1500 hours of supervised practice to become a Registered Dietitian. I have a wide-ranging experience working in over 8 different clinical settings, from inpatient medicine and psych units to cardiac rehab and stroke prevention clinics at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. I’ve also contributed to geriatric rehab, geriatric psych, brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and cognitively impaired inpatient units, as well as outpatient feed/swallow clinics at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. I also have experience working in the community as a homecare dietitian and have also worked in a handful of rural hospitals in Alberta.

Through my diverse journey in the nutrition field, I bring a wealth of nutrition knowledge and interpersonal skills to the table. I have experience working with clients for chronic disease management (eg. diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiac disease), digestive issues (eg. IBS, IBD) and gut health, and emotional eating. I am passionate about working with individuals facing nutrition concerns related to mental health, such as ADHD, depression, and anxiety and strive to educate and provide practical and evidence-based strategies to help individuals eat well while managing these concerns.
In the ever-evolving field of nutrition, I continuously seek professional development and stay on top of the latest research. This ensures that the guidance I provide is not only grounded in expertise but is also current and relevant.
My approach to nutrition is collaborative. I believe that each individual’s journey is unique, and by working together, we can develop strategies that align with your personal goals. I am here to guide, support, and celebrate the achievements, big and small. I am grateful to be a part of the team at Solace Psychology & Wellness and I’m looking forward to getting to know you!
