I enjoy working with teens, adults and couples. I have been working in the Mental Health field for over 7 years. My work experience has given me invaluable experience in helping people cope with trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety, stress, relational concerns, addiction, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also enjoy helping people learn how to cope with life transitions, grief and loss, and various life stressors. Over the years, I have worked with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
I have a firm understanding of providing empathy, compassion, and patience with my clients. My work and educational experience has allowed me to further develop my therapeutic skills, as I engage in life-long learning.
I believe in building a strong relationship with each client that is founded on mutual respect and trust. I strive to provide clients with a comfortable and non-judgmental space to help them develop the tools they need to cope with the challenges in their lives. Since every individual is unique, I use a person-centered approach. I also draw from a variety of approaches to create an individualized experience that will fit a client’s needs. Therapeutic approaches can include Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFT) or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
When working with teens, I ensure to make sessions fun and engaging through the use of art based methods. I value building a trusting relationship to best support you and your child through difficult situations.
I look forward to being a part of you and your family’s journey!
