DARIEN ZWICKER

M.C., B.A., Mental Health Therapist

Hi! My name is Darien and I am a Mental Health Therapist at Solace Psychology & Wellness.

My approach to therapy is client-centered and built around fostering an environment safety, trust, and collaboration to create space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. One of the aspects I love most about my job is the opportunity to forge genuine and meaningful connections with my clients. Supporting them on their journey of growth, healing, and transformation is an incredibly rewarding experience that reinforces my passion for this work.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults to provide support on a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ concerns, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I also have specialized training in and a passion for working with individuals who are struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating, body dysmorphia, body image concerns, and self-esteem issues.

I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach, meaning I draw on a variety of evidence-based methods. I recognize that every client is unique and therefore my aim is to collaborate with you in selecting an approach that aligns with your goals. Some of the modalities I have experience and training in include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), as well as Mindfulness-Based Therapies and Somatic Experiencing.

I am passionate about honouring diversity and appreciate collaborating with people of various genders, backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and worldviews. I look forward to having the opportunity to connect with you!
