B.A., M.C., REGISTERED PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Child, Teen & Adult Therapist

Hello! My name is Carly. I am so happy you are here! I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I completed my Masters in Counselling at City University of Seattle and obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from MacEwan University.

I have worked in the mental health industry for almost a decade, primarily with children, teens, and adults with various mental health needs. My professional experience includes working with individuals diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Additionally, I have gained invaluable experience working at a psychiatric inpatient program to support youth facing family and academic challenges, addiction and behavioural concerns, and severe mental health symptoms. Finally, I have experience working with and helping individuals who have experienced or witnessed various forms of family violence or domestic abuse.

I am not what happened to me; I am what I choose to become. – Carl Jung

Counselling for Children, Teens & YOUNG adults

therapy edmonton
I specialize in working with individuals, children aged 5+, adolescents, and young adults. As your therapist, I can help you navigate concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem/confidence, perfectionism, school and work-related stress, self-criticism, body image/disordered eating, relationship issues, family conflict, behavioural problems, emotion regulation, life transitions, and depression.

Carl Jung once said, “ I am not what happened to me; I am what I choose to become.” I believe individuals can thrive when given the tools and strategies they need to overcome life’s challenges. With a compassionate and evidence-based approach, I help my clients to make meaningful changes along their mental health journey. I aim to provide a safe, experiential, and collaborative space, where together we will help you live a more meaningful and authentic life. I practice from a strengths-based and person-centered approach while utilizing tools from different modalities, such as  Attachment-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour TherapyAcceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. When working with children, I use a variety of play-based and art-based therapies to help kiddos feel comfortable and safe in therapy while helping them express their emotions and process their experiences.

Outside my role as a Registered Provisional Psychologist, you can typically find me hiking or camping in the mountains, spending time with my husband, getting lost in a good book, or baking up some delicious treats.
