Mental Health Counselling

Hi, my name is Brooke and I am a Mental Health Therapist at Solace Psychology & Wellness.

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the field of psychology, with a deeply rooted desire to help others and understand the human experience. This work feels nourishing to my soul in a way that words cannot fully describe. Seeing my clients grow as they discover moments of reconnection back to themselves and create meaningful change in their lives is a heart-warming experience.

“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.” -Brene Brown

Counselling for Teens & adults

therapy edmonton

I enjoy helping adolescents and adults learn how to cope with anxietystress,  depressiontrauma/PTSD, and life changes. I also enjoy working with people who are struggling with ADHD, emotional dysregulation, body image issues, disordered eating,  substance abuse, gender identity, suicidal ideation, and relationship concerns. A large part of my work involves improving self-esteem, self-compassion and confidence in oneself.

I believe that therapy isn’t a one size fits all approach. My practice is integrative, meaning I draw upon multiple therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)Person-Centered TherapySomatic Experiencing (SE), Self-Compassion, and aspects of Animal/Nature Assisted Interventions. Through therapy, my clients gain valuable insight about unhealthy patterns and behaviours as they learn practical ways to cope and create a more meaningful and desirable life. Therapy allows people to truly heal from their past trauma and feel empowered to take charge of their present and future life. I feel privileged to hold space with my clients, where they invite me to listen to their life stories, share laughter, learn about their greatest fears, and help them achieve their goals as I walk alongside them in their healing journey.

a bit about me

In my spare time I love being physically active – so I spend a lot of time weight training at the gym, walking my dogs, and playing sports, like beach volleyball, or horseback riding. Outside of sports, you can catch me watching my favourite reality TV shows or at a music festival dancing with my friends!
