I enjoy helping adolescents and adults learn how to cope with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma/PTSD, and life changes. I also enjoy working with people who are struggling with ADHD, emotional dysregulation, body image issues, disordered eating, substance abuse, gender identity, suicidal ideation, and relationship concerns. A large part of my work involves improving self-esteem, self-compassion and confidence in oneself.
I believe that therapy isn’t a one size fits all approach. My practice is integrative, meaning I draw upon multiple therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Self-Compassion, and aspects of Animal/Nature Assisted Interventions. Through therapy, my clients gain valuable insight about unhealthy patterns and behaviours as they learn practical ways to cope and create a more meaningful and desirable life. Therapy allows people to truly heal from their past trauma and feel empowered to take charge of their present and future life. I feel privileged to hold space with my clients, where they invite me to listen to their life stories, share laughter, learn about their greatest fears, and help them achieve their goals as I walk alongside them in their healing journey.
