I have had the opportunity to provide occupational therapy services across the lifespan for the last 6 years with a recent focus on providing quality assessment and therapy to rural and remote communities. I was introduced to the field of occupational therapy while completing my combined Bachelor of Physical Education/Education degree at the University of Alberta. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to meet and learn from a variety of people who live with many forms of disability. After these experiences, I was motivated to complete a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta.
Though I consider myself a generalist therapist, I do have a keen interest in working with adults who have experienced acute or progressive injury and are returning to their productive role, most often their job. I strive to provide objective assessments, while still aiming to build rapport with clients to ensure that they feel supported and listened to.
